KCRW, Santa Monica's famous radio station from that time forward successfully on-line, decided to plunge into the world of Podcasting making available on its website, a twenty downloadable audio files and transfer them to your MP3 player.
files, unfortunately, apply only to the talk shows that enrich the programming of KCRW. The radio station U.S. states:
"KCRW has Received Inquiries Regarding ITS podcasting music programs. While downloading programs from the Internet is Technically feasible through a variety of software programs, KCRW does not ITS Encourage listeners to download music programs. Nor does the station Make Them available as podcasts. Legal constraints and copyright issues currently inhibit Our ability to offer listeners Our Music shows as podcasts.
The summary is this: KCRW does not encourage its users to download their music programs, copyright law also prevents them from making such programs available for download. A device useless and only form, the issuer, as has long been spread among the sailors used to record, through applications such as Streamripper (for Winamp), the programs broadcast in streaming radio from operating on-line.
I am convinced that a record Internet radio is nothing new so shocking to be put forward in the interests of record companies. Even before the advent of digital listeners record their favorite radio programs, or a single track through your home stereo and the now legendary "cassette".
The problem, as regards the recordings from online radio, concerns the quality of the file archived. Many stations are encoded in MP3 at 128Kbit / s (the "standard" which is close to CD quality) to offer its listeners a decent sound and not comparable to that offered by traditional stereo radio or the emerging satellite.
The problem is that compression so "rich" puts the audience in an ideal position to record music, trattarala with any audio editor (thus eliminating precisely, for example, the last words of a DJ who is presenting each) and then burn it to CD or transfer it, as in the case of Podcasting on an MP3 player.
would be enough to then use a slightly lower quality, such as to make you appreciate the "original" of the CD or MP3 files for sale on-line, to please everyone: the music industry on the one hand, and the listeners on the other, enabling them to follow in "deferred" their favorite music programs and then go to buy songs from the most interesting among those proposed.
